University exams. Working sporadically during weekends. Paying bills. What a fucking mundane thing. The fucking mundane thing he was trying to get into nowadays. To be honest, in the last year, it had been all about finding himself, his identity again; enrolling in a different subject was just a way of trying to do it. He'd mostly feel like a drifting boat, though. The continuous support of medication and therapy were helpful, he also would run every morning and fight bjj twice a week to burn energy; the exercises were doing wonders to his mental shape. But it was all still rough and challenging. It had been long years since the last time he had any kind of balance in his life.
Lee stopped midway, sighting, He had been in that neighborhood looking for a place to rent, possibly one that already had one or two roommates since everything was so expensive, and that's when he saw this nostalgic coffee shop. The smell that emanated from that place was the very same from years ago and, fuck, so many happy memories...He got in, even though he knew he shouldn't, and his heart faltered at the sight. It was all almost the same from the last time he had been in there with Moonie; the furniture, the color of the walls. The smell. And even Moonie.. Hell, Moonie! Moonie was right there. With those stupid eyeglasses and stupid face. Lee's eyes were open wide for a moment as he took in how real the sight was. And of course, instead of thinking straight and leaving, he passed a hand through his own hair and straightened his black leather jacket before approaching the table with a casual air "hey, sorry I took so long" he winked, as he pretended to be the college student from years ago... or at least the good parts of him.
