Desperate times called for desperate measures. Just as life had been going in a positive direction, the older he got the easier things had become, there was typically always something that always got in the way. For Kai, his mother often times was the main center of heartache. She was, after all, the only person he considered family. But after several phone calls and texts exchanged between the two(and quite the depressing exchange), being cooped up inside of his apartment felt too suffocating.
So there he was, camera clasped within his right hand and securely wrapped around his neck for support. When he was in doubt he found peace and serenity being able to be out with nature, being able to find captivating moments to snap at the click of the button. This to him was his therapy.
The place he had ventured to was away from the city, more of the country side with beautiful flowers, trees, and more importantly no humans in sight. At least, whenever he had stumbled upon this place and continuously returned over the months he had assumed that no one else knew of this area but him.
How wrong he was though. He couldn’t have been there for more than ten minutes, searching and finding the best spot for him to perch upon and get to work before his attention was quickly diverted. Out of the corner of his eye he caught sight of dark, long and flowing hair that breezed with the wind; someone had also been out here for a peace of mind and hadn’t noticed his own presence yet. So, someone else had known of his hideaway. He was absolutely to take advantage of this moment, it was what he did best.
A small smile tugs the corner of plump lips as he brings the camera up without much thought, this was the snapshot he was perhaps looking for all day. He was thankful she was preoccupied with her own work and he knew a lot of people had preferred to not be photographed without consent, but there was no harm being caused in his mind.
She was undeniably breathtaking from afar and his candid shots were one of his best works.
But just as he was sitting there gushing in awe at her femininity, realization hits. Chocolate hues widen, lips parting wide as he sucks in a breath. “Aera?” He murmurs to himself, surely it wasn’t her. He knew her. Knew her quite well, actually.
Louder from the distance, he’s taking a couple steps closer as he zooms in on his camera to hopefully identify the correct person before embarrassing himself. It was a gorgeous photo he took, and it was definitely her. “Aera, is that you? What are you doing out here?”
