Jo, I love you so fucking much, thank you so much, I am crey, I was gonna play it cool with a (real tho) joke about how May and Brim (Kadin!) have needed to meet for so very long, but I just. Thank you so much, this is so validating and also so so GOOD <33333

As soon as May showed up, she was raising hell. Cora showed up with her, she's her breath, her lover, her life, and Cora found May on a rebound from Anne--not at all Anne's fault, she has a recurring problem in her supernatural "programming" that scrambles her memory badly each time she's summoned to a new plane, and she clear forgot. It broke Cora's heart, and May and Cora ran solo attempting to kill us until someone on my side suggested reaching out to them (as well as a rogue incubus), and they all ended up with steady, safe jobs at my Inn Between Worlds (everyone should have one). With that stability, a great deal of wounds were healed, including, with some macguffin work and MUCH therapy, Anne retrieving her memories and remembering her true love, the three of them understanding what happened, and an eventual fold into a healthy polycule.

May was always aggressively...aggressive, she was possibly the first character in that campaign to buck my intentions of "agreeability" and start questioning norms. As such, she hasn't changed much at all--she's righteous, not self-righteous, and she can be as much of a pain in the ass as she damn well feels like, but...well, I eventually realized it was all about family. Not just Cora, not just Anne, there are a couple of kids and if I did anything right in that campaign, it was managing to get them safe and secure before the fox was awoken.

I hope she can get some rest now this is over...
