Forest Spirits- David Natale
Oblies Sticker Sheets from YoghurtKnightArt
In Japanese folklore, the tsurara-onna is a spirit, often said to be an icicle that became a woman. The story commonly goes that a lonely man was looking at the icicles hanging from the ceiling of his house and wished for a wife as beautiful as the ice.
In some regions of Japan, it is said that the tsurara-onna married the man, but melted when he forced her to take a bath. In others, the tsurara-onna disappeared in spring, causing the man to believe she had run away. He remarried, only for the tsurara-onna to return in winter, and stab him in a fit of jealous rage.
