Monsters Attack #1 (1989). Cover art by John Severin. There was something familiar about this cover, and when I cracked it open and saw the first few pages it all came flooding back to me. Summer of 1989, bought this magazine in a grocery store on Manitoulin Island during a family trip. Now I flip through it and see there’s some Gray Morrow and Steve Ditko work within. Can’t wait to re-read it.
