Also have this, I wasn’t kidding when I said I wanted to make a WandaVision AU, I mean, the TV element is RIGHT THERE. Of course mono would take wanda’s place and six would take visions place. This is sixes 50’s getup. I tried to do the little logo thing, how’d I do?
The only thing I still need to decide on for this AU is who the people trying to access the HEX will be. And also if I want to keep the pregnancy arc in the overall story. Anyway, this AU is for me because I saw an opportunity and took it, so I don’t think I really care if people like this one.
My eye vision is terribly nearsighted. Things come into focus if I hold them about 4 inches from the tip of my nose; otherwise I’m blind. I have worn glasses since I was seven and soft contact lenses since I was sixteen (a long time ago and they were really expensive).
About 10-15 years ago, with normal aging, I started being farsighted as well as nearsighted. How does this work? Your general vision actually gets an infinitesimally bit better (not that I would notice - but it’s in my prescription). Instead of opting for bifocals - I chose to be fit with monovision contact lenses - this means my left eye is corrected to see close up and my right eye is corrected to see far away. I wear glasses only at night and they are adjusted for reading only - once I take out my contacts I can’t drive or look at stars, etc. The monovision contacts work really well and I had no problems adjusting to this.
But now - I can’t focus on the 2 to 2-1/2 feet away that a computer screen sits. I’ve been trialing several different combos of lenses and it is apparent that I’m going to have to go back to wearing glasses - that are adjusted for looking at the computer while I am wearing my contacts.
fun fact I went to the optometrist for my yearly checkup today and apparently I have natural monovision which is cool but I also have astigmatism which is not as cool

Went to the eye doctor and she confirmed I need to start wearing glasses consistently because I use monovision, I have for...decades, and in her words, your brain has adjusted to monovision, but that's not great.
Glasses? I can't with them any longer. Too heavy and foggy and breakable. So I'm sticking my finger in my eye and I've started wearing contacts. My brain is trying really hard to see out of two eyes again simultaneously. It's an odd sensation.
So long, sexy librarian look! Also, now I'll be able to see, which might also affect my dating life. Binocular vision is a whole new world!

In June 2020 Ray LaMontagne released the album "Monovision". I like several songs on this album. Maybe it's an album that soon wears off its magic? I liked it instantly and then it grows dimmer after a while but there is this great silent atmosphere in many of the songs. I keep coming back to this album.
