Theoretically… could we turn rock and minerals into soil? Like if we had a FUCKTON of raw material could we turn it into soil somehow

#i wanna build a new continent #not like a floating one I mean like a full continent #last year I drew up a plan for an orbiting spinning teather that could theoretically launch ships and catch material sent from other places #if we mined a large asteroid and turned the unusable material into soil and sand we could make a continent #i feel bad living on land that was stolen from indigenous people so I wanna make a new place #and instead of like fucking around with an industrial revolution that fucks up our future #go full green power #monorails #fuck cars we don’t need em #trains and trams that run on solar power everywhere #green architecture that’s not just plants on walls #like concrete made from fungus #solar glass #wind turbines on every building #actual infrastructure that functions and lasts without needing to be replaced like every year
