Understanding Italic can be a tricky thing if you start with it at an angle! I developed my PAScribe Italic based on the same thing all my base scripts are developed from - GEOMETRY. By working out the geometric proportioning the structure of the framework becomes readily apparent and considerably easier to apply. Tuesday 20th is a 2 hour lecture Lecture on the history and development of Italic and why Chancery Cursive or Cancellarescha is should be considered something different from Italic. Saturday 24th and Sunday 25th, from 1-6.30 on both days is the Workshop where we look at my geometric structure, a simplified monoline form and on to the more rounded forms of the broad nib Italic.
