Tumba Swing: Lamentos y chatarra
Tras el nombre de Tumba Swing se esconde Don Rogelio J. Un proyecto de trash blues chatarrero en el que canta, toca la guitarra y lleva el ritmo intacto mientras aporrea los pedales de una batería desmontada en el suelo. El resultado es un sonido sucio y directo sin nada que envidiar al de una banda completa. Todo un reto que a juzgar por el resultado parece coser y cantar para el valenciano.
Sobre todo cantar, con una voz tan característica como unas letras que van desde detallados escenarios marginales hasta lamentos eléctricos, y es que así se llama el material más reciente que ha editado, un EP con cuatro canciones que alterna facetas muy diferentes. En 2012 editó su único álbum largo, Solo y Mal Acompañado, repleto de canciones llenas pura actitud rock’n’roll.
No puede entenderse Tumba Swing sin la historieta del mismo nombre que ilustra Don Rogelio J. Y es que la ilustración es una de las facetas esenciales del trabajo de Don Rogelio J, que también se dedica ocasionalmente al diseño de tatuajes.
En su repertorio destacan canciones tan llamativas como De Fachada, Algo Va Mal o Aquí No!!! lamento con silbido incluido. Pero si hay que escoger, nada como Oh Marilin con una letra irresistible y contundente. Sus directos tienen fama de ser más que divertidos y, con canciones así, no es de extrañar.
Tumba Swing estará tocando junto a Guadalupe Plata y Hombre Lobo Internacional el próximo sábado 27 de diciembre en el Teatro Ideal Cinema de Úbeda.

mimicry.monobanda.nl The world of Mimicry is a playful world. Maybe it is best described as a schoolyard, or a digital sandbox. Four players roll around and chase each other in a digital world. They push each other off the tops of mountains and paint in the sand. But there's a twist. The digital landscape also exists in real life. There's a real sandbox which players can use to shape the virtual world in real-time. If you pay attention you can see tiny virtual characters roll around in the sandbox. Build obstacles for them, or create a racetrack. This is a game that initiates playful connections between people from different worlds. One world controlled by buttons on a gamepad, the other by making mountains of sand. Mimicry is the ultimate sandbox game.
