it takes him a moment - it ALWAYS does - to realize someone is talking to him. specifically nathan. bright blue eyes lift from his phone to look at the curly haired youth - worry, fear, and a tinge of hope reflected in them. he just wanted to be his FRIEND but sometimes it seemed like even that was asking too much- from a n y o n e. “i - thank you?” he tries and hopes he isn’t blushing, that’s never good. he’d just laugh, they all would. another gay joke, another name thrown at him, but- but maybe this time would be different?
