Finalized reference sheet for our OC! Detail notes below for legibility: Name: 'Ginger' (Jiang Hou) Age: ? He stopped aging at age 7 (adult for a rhesus Macaque) when he became a yaoguai (demon). Height: 3'9" (~114 cm) Gender: Male. uses he/him, they/them. Species: Monkey Hybrid (primarily a mix of Rhesus Macaque and Humbolts Squirrel Monkey.) Diet: Omnivore. - Primarily nuts, fruit, greens, and insects. Element: Wind Personality: Relatively cheerful and outgoing, however he is flighty and skittish. He will prioritize his survival over others. Is always seeking out creature comforts (As he was devoid of most of them in his youth). Key notes: Ginger was a lab animal who became a yaoguai. Anatomy wise, he is less hominid and more based on his animal/simian origins. He is still roughly the size of a standard macaque, with similar proportions and posture when standing upon his hind legs. He prefers to stand bipedal, but will switch to all fours when running, etc. This is going off the concept that demons and spirits become more human like the closer they come to enlightenment or power. Ginger himself is neither enlightened, powerful, or of any celestial importance. He became a demon out of necessity for survival and has since been travelling to find his lot in life. The dark markings snaking up his limbs and tail are meant to represent that demon nature intertwining/corrupting him with its essence.
