Yaâll thought I would write something. Jokes on you... terribly painting things is faster.
Thank god for ancient post its that remind me of these things.
Had Something Better planned but my head is revolting against me
oh and this is a reminder to write the reverse barista au thing with the mongary because you demanded it i think
Part 1
Ătienne wasnât sure why he bothered coming here every day,for the past month, but ever since that one day where he had been running lateand hadnât had the time to make himself a cup of coffee before work and he hadfound himself in this very dive, hehad been coming back â not for the coffee, oh hell no, let it be noted â no,no, if there was any reason as to why Ătienne M. Maisonneuve had become apatron of CalfĂ©s it was because ofthe very cute and very sunny barista.
Calvin always seemed to be in a good mood and as much asĂtienne had thought at first that Calvin was probably just another typicaljock-type-muscle-man-with-blonde-hair-and-no-brain-who-smiled-too-much-and-had-cute-freckles-and-perfect-teeth,it turned out that Calvin was the owner of the place and also the barista, forthe simple reason that he liked greeting the customers and sending them offwith a bright smile and well wishes for their work day â but not only that,Calvin also happened to be quite the business manager and knew how to stand hisground, as Ătienne had found out through careful observation.
Ătienne had not been able to resist Calvinâs charm and so hehad returned every day since then and he had found himself with mediocre cupsof coffee, but a smile on his face â he figured the trade off was good, but nowthe problem was that with every passing visit, Ătienneâs attraction towards thebarista had only grown and if he was to be completely honest with himself, hewould have to say that he had a crush, and not only were crushes stupid, in hishumble opinion, but not worth his time and energy â which meant he only had oneoption and that was to march up to Calvin and ask him out; plus, he was gettingsick and tired of spending money on bad coffee.

First Coffee barista au
Part 3
It seemed the Universe was against him, as the followingday, when Calvin walked into the cafĂ©, there was an unusually long line up âCalvin could understand why, since the coffee and pastries were quite good, butthe problem was that he only had so much time before he had to go into work andhe really would have liked to ask Ătienne out before the end of the day â plus,on top of that, he had come up with the bestway to invite him to the date; Calvin had assembled a series of his own coffeecups â not the ones Ătienne had doodled on, those were his, thank you very muchâ and on each of the cups he had written a word that spelt out âwill you go outwith meâ, it was a fail proof plan.
Except that the line was progressing unusually slowly andCalvin only had seven minutes before he had to leave â Calvin couldnâtunderstand why, usually service here was always good and he always had a bit oftime to chat with Ătienne, but something had to be wrong today â maybe thecoffee machine had exploded, or something.
Slowly, the line progressed at a snailâs pace, until Calvinwas able to catch a glimpse of the front â and then he understood why therewere so many people in line and why there was such a delay; Ătienne wasnâtthere.

Part 2
âHiya,Etienne,â Calvin greeted him, when he stepped in the following morning, âWhatcan I get for you, the usual?â Ătienne took the moment to observe the baristaand couldnât help but smile; just being in Calvinâs presence put him in a goodmood and made him want to be happy â he took a deep breath and figured now wasas good a time as any to ask, or at least try to ask, Calvin out.
âActually, not quite⊠I was wondering, if you werenât doing anything after your shifttoday, if youâd like to grab a bite to eat; I know this great place not farfrom here,â He did his best not to mention the fact that they also made reallygood coffee â his goal was to get Calvin, not insult his little business.
Calvinâsexpression changed from his usual smile to one of surprise and for a momentĂtienne feared he had read their interactions wrong â that all the flirting hehad done with Calvin and that Calvin had returned had been playful banterbetween friends â or a close customer with the cute barista, and Ătienne cursedhimself for being so bold and impulsive â he had never even found out if Calvinliked men â or if he had a significant other, but luckily, Calvin put him outof his misery within the next few seconds âLike on a date? Iâd love to!â
