A mixture of fanatical loyalty towards the clergy, a crusader spirit as well as nostalgia for a form of chivalry that probably never existed in the first place is what describes the military orders of London best. Acting as elite soldiers as well as bodyguards to the Bishops of England they will gladly give their own life if it brings the apocalyptic world they live in closer to divine 0redemption. With the prophesied second coming of the lord drawing near, Knight-activity on the mainland has been steadily increasing as they gather whatever the Bishopric might deem artifact-y enough to be considered a holy item while also waging war against the enemies of the faith (which, if you are the follower of a dogmatic millenarian cult might as well be literally anyone else). PS.: While most indigenous animal species on earth died out during the fall, a couple of horses on the isles miraculously survived the extinction event. Their decedents are now being used heavily by the English military orders, effectively making them the last remaining force on the planet to retain a functioning cavalry.
