PRESS RELEASE OPENING RECEPTION SUSTAINABLE PHOTOGRAPHY MONA MIRI
ā This exhibition is a collection of sustainable photographs by Mona Miri. It is a collection of work representing the environmental landscapes and sustainability work of Mona Miri, throughout her career as a Sustainability Fine Art Photographer. The work is to represent the constant change of the landscape, our Planet, and the delicate state it is in. Even in the midst of a polluted and industrial landscape there is still beauty to be seen. The before and after of the remediation of the Landļ¬ll park is relieving to view, yet the contrast of the Ice from a century past is hard to observe. With the help of Arbor Day Foundation there will be trees planted for the show as well as the off set of carbon emissions footprints for the production. This has been one of Monaās Miriās signature sustainability factors in the production of her work since 2009, as well as the renewable resource of material used, and the importance of the subject matter, our delicate planet.ā
There will be an opportunity to sign up to plant trees and with every purchase a tree will be planted on the personās behalf. Please join the reception on April 18th 2024 from 6-8 PM.

@ Open Studios this weekend May 13-14th! More new work displayed at the Midway studios, along with 1 piece at the FPAC gallery and the Atlantic Warf. So many great artist opened their studios, twice a year for a great weekend of Art! It was a good turn out! My new work takes me back when I started in the darkroom and working in alternative process. With much work with a non-toxic eco-friendly process, Iām happy to finally get to where I want to be. A very subtle sense of abstractness, cubist, post modernist, pop art style, as well a progressive contemporary style,Ā is relevant in these pieces.Ā

The current Atlantic Warf Gallery Show, which one of my pieces is on display, closely resonates to the Modified landscapes series.Ā Ā
āĀ How does technology alter the human and natural landscape? How will humans, as a species, evolve and change over time? The significance and consequences of human progress, highlights how advancement alters the landscape. The fifteen artists presented in the Atlantic Warf Gallery show, examine how ingenuity evolves personal and cultural perspectives....āĀ -Leah Triplett Harrington
Kicking Off Earth Month with a great show at the Atlantic Warf Gallery! Iām very excited to announceĀ ā A New HorizonĀ ā is on display as of this weekend through July 1st at the Atlantic Warf building in the Seaport waterfront district in Boston.Ā
ā A New HorizonĀ ā is to represent our changing landscape, when development is constantly on the rise for the next big high-rise, our landscapes suffer. Whether the area is environmentally safe or has environmental implications, the horizontal line of what we see disappears and obscures our perspective. Our natural landscape is constantly confronted with man-made changes that challenge itās co-existance as years go by.Ā
