Akemi: A model, former Miss Japan (didn’t go on to win Miss Universe, which she resents) She gave Kimiko her love of fashion but wishes that her style was more classical, they fight about that a lot. She and Mr Tohomiko have been divorced for pretty much Kimiko’s whole life. 

Anita: I’m going to be honest and say I have the least thoughts about her. We know Raimundo has a bunch of siblings but he had little enough responsibility to still have a care free attitude so I’m going to say she’s a stay at home mom, maybe doing something on the side once her kids get older. 

Helen: A former rodeo star and 4H champ. She’s a strictly independent person. She’s the one who taught Clay how to lasso. Helen split with Clay’s dad not long before he went to the temple, and Jessie lives with her while Clay lives with their dad. None of them are happy with the custody arrangement, all for different reasons. 

Rebecca: Mrs. Kaplan-Spicer, formerly known as Becky K. She was a moderately successful pop singer in the late 80s, having one big hit before pretty much fading into obscurity. However before she completely disapeared from the public eye she managed to find a wealthy husband, satisfying her mother at the very least.
