During the early Middle Ages, near present-day Lithuania, there was a small group of Christians who called themselves the Molvics. (Pay attention to that name!) Just like Catholics, Baptists, etc., they were still Christian, but they kinda just did their own thing.

They weren’t violent and didn’t cause any problems, but since they were new and had a unique way of doing things, they weren’t very well-liked.

Eventually, some people got so fed up that they wanted the Molvics to just leave them alone. Luckily, there was an area of land that nobody had claimed, so the Molvics figured they could settle there since there wasn’t anyone living there.

They soon learned that with all the mountains, this land was incredibly hard to live on, which is why it was never claimed. However, they still wanted to just exist in peace, so they figured they could just work with what they had.

Eventually, they learned how to survive in the harsh terrain and climate, and their population started to grow. Luckily, nobody else wanted to brave the mountains around them, so they didn’t have to fear attacks.

So yeah that’s how Molvia was born!
