It is 2009, and Nouzha Khaldoon Zubayr Al-Abboud has quit their job as a videographer for NBC to pursue a government career in what they consider to be the ultimate sport- sinchasing. BODY FEVER is an in-progress novel series that touches on topics of ecology, natural stewardship, religious trauma, America’s history as a Christian nation, mental and physical illness, and human relationships and sexuality. It is a piece of dramatic fiction in the genre of magical realism that includes mature content intended only for adults.

I DID IT. the first “book” of body fever is COMPLETE…. it only took me. over a year of inaction and then literally less than a week of frantically writing. its 84 pages long and 23,220 words, and while i WILL just keep rolling onwards i would say now is as good of a time as any to read if youre interested.

OK I... *THINK* U MEANT MONKTAURS but i remembered having done a couple of moletaurs while in outpatient a few months ago and i dug into my treatment sketchbook to find them. so ill put some some roughly mole-adjacent taurs of my fursona that Really arent all that mole-like under the cut at the bottom

anyways. "monktaur" is mostly just a shortening of "monkey taur" that i use for the currently unnamed story that ive been working on with my girlfriend @cuteghosts :3 i thought i had put some comics i did that cover a bit of worldbuilding for this up here but i guess i didnt?? so. i suppose ill just stick them all here for now

monktaurs primarily live on a small island in the center of an immensely deep lake; the surrounding land is covered in a thick rainforest (the area/culture is inspired by that of the amazon river basin!). they cant reproduce on their own, and instead are rarely born to humans living in the surrounding towns. when this happens, the townspeople gather at the shore of the lake, and send the newborn across, swaddled tightly and placed in a small boat. the monktaurs of the island wait on the other side to receive the child.

bento-dulce (the infant in the comic) is the most recent royal heir of the island, signified by her blue mouth (and other things but in the context of the comic thats the easiest way to tell). shes based on a golden lion tamarin, and her adoptive father, the current king liberato-renzo, is based on a cotton top tamarin!!

he kind of sucks and i like him quite a lot

the following comics are in chronological order and follow each other pretty directly; theyre not too heavily About the monktaurs and their island but i think they give a relatively good idea of some parts of the worldbuilding, as well as the dynamics between bento-dulce and his childhood best friend mateo, who has his own stuff going on. plus theres a snake

i didnt end up continuing with this series of comics at the time but im currently cogitating on the next one(s)

theres more than a few taurs and anthros and such in this world, as well as quite a few humans!! and they all have their own deals going on too that i want to write and make art about. but for now the monktaur island and its characters are probably the most fleshed out gdkhgdkd
