HI YES THANK YOU i need to talk about the way that david is so happy for her and so proud and teary eyed watching stevie up there being brave and glorious.

it’s really important to me that the show turned these two beautiful weird people into best friends AFTER they were friends with benefits and AFTER stevie made it clear that she was open to more than that and david rejected her.

i mean, he was as gentle about it as he could be, but that’s their history. david didn’t want more, and stevie did, but after they moved on she has never ever begrudged him finding his own happiness and that’s all he’s wanted for her too.

so it means everything to me that we get to see him watching her shine, because david doesn’t love her in the way that maybe she might have wanted years ago but he does love her so so much and their relationship is amazing.
