Sans

Honestly? He’s the same. It won’t stop him from worrying, though. Eating properly is important for your mental health too. Still, he’ll leave you alone if you say you don’t want help. You just can’t stop him from leaving a glass of water lying around, or ‘accidentally’ eating less chips than usual, pouring them into a bowl and then leaving them next to you while you’re reading, working, relaxing, whatever. Hey, he didn’t see you there. Oops, guess he’ll just leave those right by your hand. Don’t eat them or anything. 

Papyrus

No, not in this house! Papyrus would make sure to feed you whenever you forget and always provides a glass of water so you don’t get dehydrated. If you still won’t eat, he’d happily spoonfeed you until you cave in! He’s had to do this to Sans before, don’t test him! Just be careful when Undyne comes over… Their spaghetti isn’t the best, and it gets quite destructive.

Sans (Blue/Blueberry)

He’s very worried about your health, even if you tell him you don’t do it intentionally. There may be tears involved when he sits you down asking what he can do to help, if you need somebody to talk to, if there’s something worrying you and so on. It’d take a lot to assure him that it’s just something that happens. Afterwards, he’d offer you a lot of his own food and makes sure you stick to a carefully-planned schedule of eating times! That is, if you’re okay with that. He might actually join you if you agree.

Papyrus (Stretch)

Since we have a four character limit, I did Sans, Papyrus, Mettaton and Asgore. Hope that’s okay!

Sans

Uh, wow. Big kid. Welp, moving on.

Sans has seen more surprising things in his lifetime. He’s mostly just hoping you pick on people your own size. In other words, nobody. But at least he has an excuse to make some good height-based puns on somebody other than his brother. Heh, he’s been driving him mad with those lately.

Papyrus

Wowie! With your large size, you must not be a human, but a giant! He’s always wanted to see one of those! He grabs your hand and excitedly shows you around Snowdin and even the entrance of Waterfall. Unless you tell him first, Undyne would be quick to correct his mistake after a very excited call and ensure him that you are not a giant. He’s not sure whether he should be even more excited or not, but you’ve been a good friend. And, like the wonderful companion he is, he will make sure Undyne won’t pierce through your skull with a spear. After all, he is a guardsman!

Mettaton

Why, he hasn’t heard of a human so large since one of Alphys’ strange cartoons. No matter, the show must go on! Your extra height will make him look all the more powerful as he conquers his fears, a tear in his eye as he is pushed to the ground, but still gets up and fights… Ah, but he’s just rambling. Otherwise, your height must make you stand out, hm? How wonderful! Be the star of life’s stage!

…Though, he is a bit jealous. Just a bit.

Asgore

He doesn’t mean to be rude, but are you even a child? He doesn’t recall any of the humans he’s seen to be so tall. It must be awfully difficult to find clothes that fit you, young one.

For people who don’t know, faunis are people from the RWBY series who are basically humans with one animal trait. Horns, ears, tails, or even abilities like camouflage. They can only have one of these traits, so not a tail and ears :) I chose ears in this case because I feel like a tail would be easier to hide, but kind of awkward to write in this situation.

It’s also important to know that faunis experience a lot of discrimination in RWBY, which is why the reader gets the reactions they do in this.

Sans

‘Hey, hey, calm down. I’m not going to hurt you. It’s okay.’ He pats your back as you panic, clutching your hat to your chest. Your breathing is quick and sharp. Sans kneels down and meets you at eye level, trying to find something he can do to calm you down. ‘I’m not going to hurt you.’ He repeats, tilting your head up with his hand.

You jump from his touch, averting your eyes. ‘I’m sorry, I…’ You choke back a sob. ‘I didn’t want you to see. People get m-mad, and-’

Sans’ eyes soften, and he pulls you into a hug. He’s desperate to do something, anything, to make you stop crying. He just can’t find the words.

You both stay like that for what must have been ten minutes, not caring about the stares of the passerby. After you collect yourself, Sans helps you stand. ‘You, uh… You feeling better now?’

You nod, wiping your tears off your face and hurriedly putting your hat back on. ‘Yeah. I’m sorry you had to see that, I didn’t think you’d take it well. I’ve had some pretty rough experiences in the past.’

‘Pfft, I’m not like that. Fur real, I’d never discriminate.’ Sans quips. You hit his shoulder and laugh, saying that it’s not the time for jokes. Sans is just happy to see you smiling again.

Papyrus

It was an accident. He really didn’t mean to bump into you and make you trip, he was just so excited to see you and rushed and wait, you’re crying?!

Papyrus rushes to help you, frantically apologising. He doesn’t even notice the ears on your head, and the way they twitched at the noise. ‘Datemate, I’m so sorry!’ He wails, holding you tightly. ‘I know I’m strong, but I never intended this! Are you broken? Do I need to get Undyne? She’d help you get to Alphys, and then she could patch you up!’ 

You find yourself still. In your fear, you start to panic. Your mind is swarmed with memories of previous relationships, manipulative and hurtful. Despite all of the good in him, what if Papyrus is the same?

‘Datemate?’ Papyrus’ voice drops to a whisper. ‘You’re still crying. Did I do something wrong?’ Papyrus moves away to look into your eyes, and almost find himself tearing up with you. Then he finally notices your ears. ‘Oh? Oh. Okay!’ He stands back up and reaches out a hand to help you. You timidly accept, cautious of his next move.

‘Aren’t you upset?’ You say. ‘People don’t really… like me.’ Papyrus curiously touches your ears before responding. He can’t feel through his glove, but he thinks they’re soft.

Papyrus moves his hand back to his side, thinking that he must’ve been rude. ‘What’s to be mad about? You’re you! And I think you’re amazing!’

‘But people always hurt me for it. Isn’t it a bad thing?’ You interrupt, waiting for his answer.

Papyrus thinks of what to say. ‘Well,’ He starts, swooping you up into a hug. ‘I think it just makes you even more special!’ He nuzzles his face into your neck, and smiles when you laugh from the sensation.

I interpreted this as the s/o living separately to the characters rather than in the same house. I hope that’s okay! :)

Sans

He… needs to lie down. Alone. He isn’t entirely certain if he’s ready to help raise a kid in the future.

After some time alone, he’s opened his mind a little bit. After all, it’s not like he would’ve avoided you if you were raising a child already. He’s very calm when meeting the kid, asking if he can hold her. He’s scared of dropping her but relaxes when he sees her close her eyes to sleep.

Maybe he’ll like her.

Alphys

She’s immediately trying to console you for your parents. Even if you weren’t close, losing family must be hard, right?

She then hears that you need to take care of a baby. She’s going to make toys for the child and machines to help you raise her. She doesn’t know much about helping children, but she’ll do whatever she can. She has to, for your and your sister’s sake!

Undyne

Woah, what’s the kid for?

…

Wait, what?!

She’s shook. Never expected to see you raise a kid when you’re still so young, but that’s just how life works, right? Gotta… gotta keep you on your toes and all that?

… Okay, she’s nervous. She’s not really all that gentle. What if she hurts her? What if the poor kid turns out bad and she has to fight her?

She’ll do her best to help you out however possible, and does love to babysit. She just can’t shake off her anxiety for a long time.

After making sure you’re okay, he’d want to see the kid as soon as possible. The poor thing lost her parents at such a young age. But if you’re parents were neglectful, then maybe you’d be better for her anyway.

He’d love holding her, trying to make her laugh. He loves holding his finger in front of her face and watching her grab and hold it with all of her strength.

‘Hey Y/N, you havin‘ a good time? ‘Cause I am!’ Undyne cheered. She tried to wave, but you didn’t seem to notice. You had your head close to the water like you were sitting. Worried, she ran over to you as quickly as possible. ‘Y/N…  are you okay?’ Poking your head up, you hoped Undyne couldn’t see through the water. Looking back down to cover your knees, you finally let out a sigh.

‘Um, well… some guys stole my swimsuit…’ Your whole face was red. How embarrassing. Undyne, on the other hand, seemed to be red with rage. Her shoulders stiffened as soon as you finished your sentence.

‘Where are they?’ She scowled. Meekly pointing to the beach, you revealed three laughing young men sitting in a circle. One of them, a monster, had a can of beer in his claws. The other held your swimsuit. Undyne huffed. ‘Alright, let me deal with them. Hold on.’

You held out an arm to stop her, but you had to cover yourself. It would have been pointless anyway, as she was already standing over them before you could get a word out. You couldn’t hear what she was saying, but you knew she was mad. Within two minutes she had already been back to you with your swimsuit and stood guard for the rest of the day.

‘W-wait, you m-mean… Oh. Oh no.’ Undyne was a blushing mess. It was hard to tell who was more embarrassed. She picked at the scales on her arm as she scrambled to find a solution. ‘Um, ah… I’ll just… hold on, I’ve got it!’ She ran to the beach to search in her bag. She quickly returned with a towel and a fifth layer of sunscreen on her. She gave you the towel and stood guard.

Quickly wrapping it around yourself, you sit on the beach as she searches for the swimsuit. It took a while, but she found it eventually. She’s happy that you can keep on playing in the water, but she’s done. She’s exhausted and really needs to stop blushing.

She’s pissed. She isn’t even sure who she’s supposed to be mad at, but she’s pissed anyway. She storms around the beach questioning everybody she sees: children, lifeguards, elders. Nobody was free. She turns to a boy and points at him. ‘Yeah, I bet it was you. Did you take their swimsuit?!’ Undyne yelled. Confused, the boy ran to his father. He was tall and muscular but didn’t seem to be mad.

‘Dad, she’s being mean…’ The boy whimpered to his father. The man tried to comfort him. Undyne found it cute, in a way…

But she’s wasting time. She turns around to find another suspect, but the father puts his hand on her shoulder and points to you. You had been trying to get Undyne’s attention the whole time, and she never noticed. She felt bad. Thanking the father, she ran towards you to see that you had already found the swimsuit. You never even said it was stolen.

This reminds me of cat a lot. My cat loves to wake me up in the middle of the night by scratching my door and then leading me to her food bowl because she wants me to watch her eat. I love her though <3 (She’s glaring at me she knows I wrote this shh)

Sans

‘Hey.’ You lean back over the top of the couch, your upside down face peering into Sans’ eye sockets. ‘Watcha doin’?’ Sans chuckles and looks away from his laptop.

‘Eh, nothing much. Just some work.’ He tilts his head back to his screen, tapping away at the keyboard. Standing up you can see over his shoulder that Sans was actually sending anonymous paradoxes to Papyrus online.

‘Pfft, liar,’ you teasingly pat Sans on the back of his head. ‘I know you’re too cheap for money.’ You feel your fingers graze against the skeleton’s skull seam, and trace your fingers over it. Sans starts to shiver.

‘Ew, gave my spine tingles.’ And he still continues to ‘work’. He knew that you wanted attention, and he wanted to tease you about it. You let out a groan of annoyance.

Papyrus

‘Datemate, why must you claw at my posters so?’ To be fair, you weren’t clawing. Just taking them off the wall, prints and papers piled on the floor next to you. Papyrus scoops them up and tapes them back onto the wall, only to have them all end up on the floor again before he finishes. Papyrus squints at you as he places his next poster up on the wall.

Slowly…

And done. The last piece back up. Turning back to you, he found that you had each paper in your hands.

‘I’m sorry, I’ll put the rest back up.’ Papyrus puts these puzzle pieces together; earlier that day you insisted on holding his hand, and later you ran up to hug him from behind. Could it be… that his efforts of providing physical comfort (as he was informed by his handy guidebook!) have grown dull?! No, this was a battle that Papyrus could not lose!

Quickly taking hold of a free hand, Papyrus runs through the door with you, not caring as the posters fell to the ground once more.

‘Datemate! We are going to the cinema! Where we shall enjoy a movie rich in action and romance!’ Ever since then you’d never have to try to annoy Papyrus for affection again. In fact, you’re more likely to ask him to stop in the future because he just cares so much.

Let’s be real, you’d never have to ask for affection from Sans. That is, of course, unless he’s trying to focus on guard duty.

‘Hey, Sans! I came to help out,’ Rushing to Sans, you sling an arm around his shoulder, and he grins at the sight of you. ‘See anything cool today?’ Sans hums as he recalls everything that had happened.

‘Well… I saw a pretty bird. And I caught Lesser Dog digging a hole on the job! I stopped him though. And now you’re here!’ Sans stomped one foot on the ground. And placed his hands proudly on his hips. ‘It’s a pretty plain day, so why did you want to help? Is something up?’ Ah, he noticed. You fumble through your memory to find an excuse, but it seems Sans beat you to the punch.

‘Well, no matter! I’m sure that under my expertise, which I have gained from Alphys’ expertise, you will expertly gain your own expertise in guard duty! All you have to do is stand here for a while. Then we check each trap and replace its food, then we patrol the town and then we…’ You probably weren’t going to get any kind of affection during his work, just as you expected. Might as well enjoy his company.

Papyrus (Stretch)

You tap his forehead and whisper. ‘Hey,’ Papyrus refuses to look up; he knows this old game. ‘Let’s get pizza.’ With a playful grin, Papyrus leans back in his seat.

‘Nah, I don’t feel like it.’ The war has begun.

‘Tacos?’

‘Nah.’

‘Chinese takeout?’

‘Meh.’

Frustrated, you tap your fingers on the desk beside him. Papyrus scribbles small little drawings of him, you and Sans onto a piece of paper as you talk. ‘Y’know,’ He says, ‘If you really want a date that badly you can just say so.’ Your face heats up.

‘Uh… okay… Papyrus! Let’s g-go on a… date?’ Despite barely being able to stutter the right words, Papyrus finally lifts his head.

‘Yeah, sure. Pizza?’

Sans

He’s pretty calm about meeting your dad. Would probably wear a clip-on tie to look fancy.

Sans stays calm while meeting him. He can apprieciate the happy attitude.

Then your dad hands him a gun.

Uhhh what

He’s just at a loss for what to do

Personal business?? What??

He reevaluates your father’s actions to see if there was any way of knowing he’s violent.

Tells your dad that he doesn’t need a gun because of his magic, but your father insists.

Sans does a very brief check to find any LOVE and sure enough, there was a bit there.

You’d have to tell him that you’re happy with your parents becasue he gets a bit uncomfortable later with the idea that your dad was a little… murdery.

If you’re happy, he’s happy. He just wants you to be careful.

Papyrus

He’s very excited to meet your dad, wearing a bow tie over his armour. 

Papyrus is actually very similar to your dad, and wants to be a perfect gentleman to you like your dad is to his wife.

Your father is quickly impressed by Papyrus’ enthusiasm, and hands him a gun before saying goodbye.

‘Oh? What an odd contraption! I haven’t seen many of these in the Underground!’

Papyrus no

Your father then gives Papyus a business card for his ‘personal business’. Papyrus is ecstatic because wowie! He didn’t know your dad was a guardsman too!

Papyrus no

Papyrus then prepares to tell your dad about how he can contact the royal guard whenever he needed, but you’d have to stop him. Even if the royal guard wasn’t as important on the surface, it shouldn’t get involved with shady businesses.

Papyrus is very confused, but he lets it go.
