“Vincent, I am fine, just–Let go.”

He wasn’t. He wasn’t fine and he knew it. He had no idea why he was pretending to be fine when Vinny had seen him having a panic attack. All because of some asshole he thought he was over with.

Anzio. His abusive ex who, obviously, wasn’t arrested even with the numerous proof Daniel showed. He was still bombarded with ‘Why didn’t you tell someone earlier?’ questions and those made him honestly sick to the stomach.

He wasn’t ready to even talk about him yet, so seeing him, with an arm around someone else, talking and laughing as if he hadn’t been in court just a few months ago, made the floor disappear from underneath Daniel’s feet while he was talking with Vincent about dogs.
