Maybe he stashes it in a drawer once he gets home, unsure how to feel about it or even if he wants to ever look at it again. And then, almost a year later, he happens across it again after returning from his trip to Modeoheim, having opened the draw to put another feather—this time, a white one—inside. He takes Genesis's feather, brows furrowed in angry sadness, and holds it along with Angeal's to his chest. He flops onto his bed, curls into a tight ball, and sobs, all while cradling what little he has of them left. A month later, Sephiroth enters his office to find a simple, plain envelope on his desk, addressed to him and written in Zack's typical scrawl. Confused yet intrigued, he opens it, finding a small note and two feathers—one from Genesis, the other from Angeal—tucked inside. These are what you think they are. Figured you deserved them more than me, since, you know...they were your best friends and all. Hope that's okay. - Zack Sephiroth is truly glad he's kept his office door shut. He certainly isn't ready to face anyone with tears streaking down his face. ~ Fin

Maybe I’ll go back and replay the stage to fight Angeal Penance again later tonight and then see what angsty nonsense my brain cooks up. Already the absent minded plotbunny thoughts have been dark to say the least. The post is short but they’re under a cut for that reason.

Katsucon 2019 part 15

Seph’s the Art kid that would be the most popular if he wasn’t so weird. He’s got a weird family life but his science dad is very supportive of his interests and takes him to galleries and classes and does his best to understand despite the fact he’’s logic and numbers. Seph’s like really good at the art, not so much at the people, meaning he’s been in a few weird situations when he hasn’t explained it well enough.

Cloud’s from the poorer part of town, he and his Ma work as mechanics, taking in wrecked cars and salvaging them for parts before selling the rest. He does the best he can, his Ma does want better for him, but it’ll be hard for him to get anywhere due to his lack of scholarship prospects.

Rosso on the other hand, has a scholarship near guaranteed with her whole dancing thing, she practices for hours each day so she should. She and Cloud are kinda dating?? They grew up in the same neighbourhood and had been friends for years before it just kinda evolved from there, they really aren’t bothered with labels or anything like that.

Seph’s wanted to draw Rosso since he saw her dance since their 10th/9th year (I’m Australian, how the rest of you guys doo high school isn’t a thing here) and he finally got the chance to during his last year when he just kinda, blurted it out. Rosso didn’t mind the request, both she and Cloud thought he was pretty, and was was more than fine posing for him and letting him record her practices if he wanted.
