So, the one family member I like was able to come up yesterday to belatedly celebrate my birthday and she took me to the rock shop. I got a cute little owl shaped stone and peacock ore, it was a nice break from the stress I've been under lately. And they mentioned that peacock ore is good for calming and releasing stress, and seriously I do feel much better today than I have been. I didn't have any of the bizarre dreams that I've been having lately either, so I slept better too.
Just spent 5 and a half hours working on an art piece and it's nowhere near finished because the rendering is going to take a while, but it's 4:30am and I am tired so I'm gonna go snuggle wife

Talking about my Arknights self insert's species because why not.
They are a Cockatrice, of course. In the Arknights world, that is subspecies of Liberi who also have Vouivre traits. So, they are essentially bird and dragon hybrids who have both the feathered traits of Liberi and draconic tails. They are nearly extinct on Terra, with my s/i being one of the last known individuals. Cockatrice possess Arts that can petrify enemies and are thought to be venomous(something my s/i will neither confirm nor deny, but a certain Lung hasn't been affected so take that as you will).
Anyway, realizing that since my s/i is technically both a bird and a dragon that means there's a possibility that the two Lees could have biological kids(they already have adopted kids, who would probably be ecstatic about it because they're our biggest supporters). For context, only similar species in Arknights seem to be able to have children together. Lung are dragons, and since Cockatrice are also part dragon... yeah.

I forgot to clarify on my earlier post, but today isn't our actual anniversary btw, it's just the date when I was first introduced to Mahi. It wasn't until the 8th that we officially became a couple, so that's our official anniversary. I'm so sorry if anyone got confused on that.
