The Good, the Bad, and the Beautiful of Modelling with model Nevin Yildirim

ModelMob: Tell us one good thing you love about your experience in the modelling industry.
Nevin: My favourite thing about the modelling industry is definitely the creative aspect. Anything goes in this industry. It can be ugly or beautiful, complex or simple. I love that it’s a project that requires many talents to come together from the photographer, to the model, makeup artist, stylist, and everyone else involved to create one masterpiece. Everyone is as equally important in turning the vision into a reality. I love that after I’ve put the time in, I have something to show for my work!
ModelMob: What is one thing you find or found challenging, or dislike about the modelling industry?
Nevin: One thing I’ve found challenging in the modelling industry is the pressure to look perfect. I almost have this feeling like I constantly have to be working on myself, and if I stop to take a breath, I’m falling behind.
ModelMob: What is your favourite/most beautiful experience you had as a model?
Nevin: One of my favourite experiences as a model was shooting the 2016 spring/summer ad campaign for SoftMoc. I’ve loved SoftMoc for years and it felt like I had manifested my love for SoftMoc into a shoot with them. Working with brands that I love and believe in makes the experience so much more special and purposeful.
