March 23, 2018 - On this day in 1994 I got a call from Chris Kenner who, at the time, was working with David Copperfield as his friend and magic consultant. Chris asked if I could get on a plane that afternoon. “You got a job," Chris told me. I said goodbye to my friends at Illusions Magic Restaurant in Indiana and packed a bag. That night I flew to Providence, Rhode Island to join the David Copperfield tour as an administrative assistant — taking dictation, filing, and the like. Within a year I was starting to design illusions for the upcoming TV special, Unexplained Forces. - - 24 years later I find myself Co-Directing the show with David and having the time of my life. I am the luckiest person ever to have this opportunity to spend almost every day with David - an incredible mentor, collaborator and friend. Everyday I move forward and learn new things that benefit my own career as well as the shows. David and Chris have supported me since the beginning, through tough times and with many laughs. We strive, we fight to create the best experience possible, to move the art of magic forward — even if takes years of refinement. The hard work speaks for itself. I honestly learn something new EVERY day. Very few people can say that. Cheers. - - Most photos by: @streetsoflasvegas - - @d_copperfield @chriskenner #livetheimpossible #modccrew (at David Copperfield Show at the MGM Grand Hotel and Casino)
