Ant-Man and the Wasp Legends: MODAM
Maria Trovaya first technically appeared in 1963 as the first wife of Hank Pym and a fellow scientist, abducted and apparently killed by terrorists and the Red Room, only for her to later resurface in the clutches of AIM, who transformed and mutated her into a similar being as MODOK, almost all of the person she had been before gone.
In an adaptation, Maria tends to be an often-omitted part of Hank's story, which is a shame, because I think it does add a lot to his story and why he is so antisocial and abrasive with others all the time. I think with AIM and MODOK as the villains of a movie, Hank could have Maria's "death" as a motivating factor for his personal walls that Janet would then manage to break through, and they might find Maria later as maybe a prototype experiment to MODOK, with an emotional scene of Hank having to let her go and end her suffering. Something like that. As for casting, someone like Marion Cotillard would fit the role well.
