hello! this blog is really cute and I'm glad to see positivity being spread! I also have a question: I thought MOGAI was an alternative acronym to LGBTQ+ that was intended to be shorter and inherently inclusive, but I've also read posts talking about MOGAI like it's a separate community? which one is correct? thank you in advance!!
hello! thank you very much! (sorry about taking a while to respond. the mods are back now!) mogai was originally proposed as an alternative acronym to lgbtqiap+ thatโs easier to type and is more inclusive. mogai seems to have branched out into a different community, as some folks in the lgbtqiap+ community arenโt very accepting of some genders and orientations that are accepted in the mogai community. mogai is more of a big umbrella term while lgbtqiap+ is a little more critical, at times, but this isnโt true for everyone and the difference between lgbtqiap+ isnโt fully defined. take this with a grain of rice, though, i bet maybe someone else could explain this better and my explanation is different from other peopleโs too.

pride-library has said they are anti-MOGAI because "it disrespects the history behind the LGBT community" so IDK if you want to reblog from them
oh no!! donโt worry, we support the lgbtqia+ community and its history so we donโt condone the opinions of the blogs we reblog from. we will add them to our no-reblog list for the future :)
