It happened so quickly that he did not even see it coming. All it took was a  for him to redirect his attention.There he saw his beloved, spear in their stomach, falling to the ground. Ephraim’s movements were not even known to him in the moments it had taken him to impale the disgusting wretch who would dare hurt his S/O. After assuring there would be no one to stop him, he ran towards his S/O, laying on the ground. “S/O! Can you hear me?!”

“Y..yes. Ephraim…” Ephraim heard galloping and began to ready himself; however, it was just L’Arachel. “Quick, we need help!”

“I know!” She hopped off of her horse and examined the wound. “We need to get that spear out of her hastily. Ephraim, if you could…”

He turned his gaze. It was quite deep, the blood staining their clothes. It wouldn’t be easy. “…Yeah.” He grabbed the lance, looking at their face. “It is for the best, but…I’m so sorry.” With that, he ripped the lance from their stomach, and the scream of pain that followed left him wincing, for certain the sound of future nightmares.

L’Arachel nearly shoved him out of the way and began to work on sealing the wound. His S/O seemed to have lost consciousness. “Just so you know, Ephraim. They have lost a lot of blood already, and…they may not make it.”

Those words felt like a spear meant for him. He felt tears well up in his eyes. He had already lost his father, then he lost Lyon to some sort of insanity. If he lost his S/O, his light in the dark land of war and monsters known as Magvel…

-So, weird hc, but I feel like he’d be clumsy. Tripping over himself, can’t dance, etc. And then he was like what if I had a whole horse? 

-I feel he’d get very competitive over very small things. Like, “I can drink this faster than you” or something.

-Someone insulted Deirdre once. Sigurd bitch slapped them across the room.

-He definitely cried when he saw Seliph in Askr. Huge family man. 

-He’s the man that carries photos of his wife and kid on hand and shows them to literally everyone. He’s so proud, and he could gush about them for hours.

-Sigurd has a flower crown that Deirdre gave him. It is worn every opportunity.

-He has two sleep patterns. The light as hell sleeper, and the “a mountain could drop on him and he’d still be sleeping.”

-I get the feeling he’d like strawberry shortcake. No reason for it though. 

-I think he would get a Hawaiian shirt with the same blue as his hair, and it’d look pretty good.

Soren

-Soren is a very observant lad; therefore, he notices when his s/o is stressing far too much for their own good. 

-Whether it be a subtle brow furrowed or a quiet distressing sigh, this boy knows and is concerned. 

-“S/o, a word, if you would. It is important for you to get rest and take breaks, you know. Please do not refrain from doing so.”

-Granted, this would probably result in a squabble about how Soren does not follow that himself.

-After all, Soren has quite the record for sleepless nights and for a multitude of stresses and pressures.

-”…What if we took a break together? Would that set your mind at ease as well as mine?”

-This leads to Soren and his s/o most likely resting by themselves. Soren is not a fan of the public, and he prefers private, quiet moments with his s/o.

-Soren would probably be reading something (not work related, he promises) with his s/o at his side, resting on him.

“…it, um…worries me when you are unwell. Please try not to. I much prefer your radiant smile. It makes my day so much better when you are at your happiest.”

-I feel like Eirika would just ask her gf random questions. Like “hey what’s the name of this flower?” “A tulip?” “No the scientific name.” “Oh it’s just Tulipa.”

-Eirika would definitely show off her gf subtly. Like, “Oh ____ would know. She knows everything after all.”

-Eirika’s gf and Eirika are Trivial Pursuit nightmares. Never play with them if you want to win.

-”Eirika, could you show this to your gf? John needs help with his homework and-” “6.53.” “What?” “That’s her answer.”

-Eirika’s gf may have almost left a spoon in the microwave….five times and counting.

-Her gf also has like, awful short-term memory. Like, she will be rambling and suddenly stop. “Eirika, what was I talking about?”

-”Eirika, the Prince of England sent us an email! He needs my credit card number and birthday to help with his son’s birthday!” “Honey….no.”
