I'm nb and prefer to use the gender neutral bathroom when possible. However, in the area I live in most all the gender neutral bathrooms have signs that are like "[wheelchair icon] ONLY" instead of the standard "[man icon][woman icon]". Can I get in trouble for using these bathrooms (because I'm not in a wheelchair)? (I also think I should mention that I pass inconsistently as male and get weird looks if I use the ladies bathroom but feel v unsafe using the mens)
So don’t quote me on this but I don’t think it’s against the law to use them and I believe that if you’re in and out it shouldn’t be a problem, I think it’s ultimately important that you make sure you either don’t have customers with disabilities present or to at least make sure that they’re able to use it before you are. I’m able-bodied myself so I can’t completely say but if any of our non-ablebodied followers have anything to say feel free!

haha funny
@ all these nonsense anons: idk why you expect trans women to be patient and kind with people who want them dead but then they can say whatever the fuck they want without reproach because "maybe they're just confused!!! you have to educate them!!!" like to direct all this anger and condescension to a trans woman (esp a black trans woman) instead of, idk, the actual terfs, really shows your true colours ¯\_(ツ)_/¯ just saying (I'm so sorry Devani you don't deserve this I fully support you guys!!)
!!!!
Hi! I was just wondering, I'm bisexual but in a visibly straight relationship (I'm nb and my partner is cis). Should I not interact with humor posts that talk about "x is gay culture it's decided now"? I remember reading on how bisexual people shouldn't claim terms from gay/lesbian people and I want to avoid doing that
What ? No you should definitely interact with posts talking about how gay stuff is! Your sexuality isn’t defined by straightness AT ALL just because you’re in a visibily “straight” relationship you’re just as gay as the rest of us LGBP+’s! -Mod Som. edit: unless I’m not caught up on the fresh discourse the posts that tell bi people not to call themselves gay seem biphobic

terf rethoric is gaining visibility and it is freaking me out best of luck to yall
Thank you! 💕 we’ll continue doing our best when we can , just please be mindful of trans women at this time-Mod Som
If you're not a trans woman, why do you think you can tell one how to feel about TERFs or people finding logic in their rhetoric?
uninvolved nonbinary anon here. I think you're being really damn aggro to someone that - at least from my external view, I don't have IP info or nothin' - may have been genuinely clueless, rather than faking ignorance for the sake of harassment. the biggest danger of TERF bullshit *IS* that it "makes sense" to folks who don't know how fucked up it is, and biting someone's head off online for (potentially) not knowing any better isn't exactly the best way to combat that virulent ignorance.
Trans women don’t have to defend themselves or explain why rhetoric that harms them is wrong. Fuck you.
