some things should be addressed before we deactivate we made this blog for the soul purpose of discussing the ways in which the hlvrai fandom portrays bubby and why they are harmful. in doing this and in talking to others in the fandom we have garnered a lot of negative attention resulting in us lashing out. i honestly don’t feel sorry about the lashing out part. we’re tired of experiencing the casual antisemitism we face every day and if we can make a little blog and tell people what they’re doing wrong? yeah we’re all for that. i understand that the jewish community isn’t in any case a monolith, however this is just what we’ve had to resort to because we’ve tried talking things out so many times and they just ended in us getting harassed. everyone is tired and everyone is hurt and i’m going to deactivate the blog so nobody on any side of this has to get hurt anymore. signing off, mod crowbot. the problem that needs to be addressed is that our main goal was to stop the presence of caricatures and otherwise offensive drawings in a fandom. we are not responsible for those who did not have the emotional maturity to cope with being told their art might be offensive. we only wanted to create a comfortable environment for the people in this fandom. parting wishes- mod monocle. i can understand it's hard and scary to be, like, "called out" but you all have to understand that it was hard and scary to see shit like that in my funny internet world ok? any ways. i don't have much to add on but i wanted to say good bye too. i'm sorry i was like, vaguely rude, i guess. if i'm being honest, it's easier to be snappy and rude than to give a proper, insightful commentary. I guess i’m sorry i didn’t have the emotional bandwith to be palatable to people who made me uncomfortable. save da world.... my final message - mod lovebug i created this blog so i could stop feeling anger and isolation from a fandom that was supposed to be escapism. but since then, this has done nothing but terrorize my friends and rehash traumas. from the bottom of my heart: this is why i dont go there anymore. - mod spectre i didn't play a huge role in the blog. sure, i participated in the creation but i hardly paid attention to it and i was literally compared to something sexual because of pronouns that now make me uncomfortable and exposed to use. for clarification i'm a minor who has problems with that shit?  i was aggressive in my own post abt this and i'm not gonna apologize for being aggressive because it was warranted. aggressiveness isn't targeted harassment and it isn't me or anyone else being unreasonable. it's us being hurt and upset because we've been isolated from a fandom that used to be escapism for being who we are. maybe our attempt at speaking out against this was poor, i don't know. much like spectre, i am now almost completely detached from the hlvrai fandom because of the shit that's happened. i've moved blogs TWICE now because of shitty people like this and it fucking sucks, man. this fandom has become toxic and it sucks to see that as both someone who has been here almost since it's creation and as a literal benrey fictive. anyways that was a lot and that's it. bye y'all - mod smiles
