valentine’s day jotaro x reader (high school au/post sdc)
it’s valentines day, the high school is hosting a rose and candy gram event
jotaro decides to anonymously send you a red rose and a box of pocky
the morning of valentines day, you receive it in your homeroom class. you look at the card attached to the rose packaging and see that it’s from an anonymous sender with no message, leaving you very confused
you don’t question it and shrug it off as some secret admirer – hopefully they’ll reveal themselves one of these days.
the day goes on and no one has said a single word to you about the roses. maybe it was a mistake?
the school day finally ends, but as you’re walking home you see jotaro up ahead, heading in the same direction you are
you call out his name and catch up to him. the stoic teen stops in his tracks and looks at you. you’re not really sure how he thinks of you, but you’re pretty sure that he tolerates you at the very least.
grabbing your backpack, you pull out two items from it and present them to jotaro
a box of seashell + sea star-shaped chocolates and an illustration book about historical ships. you figured that maybe there's a chance he would appreciate this small valentines day gift, considering he’s very invested in marine topics.
he stares at the items for a few moments and you’re terrified that he's about to tell you to go away. little do you know that his face is heating up as the seconds go by.
“i thought you would maybe enjoy this as a valentines day gift? but if you don’t like them, sorry, i’ll-”
you’re interrupted as he quickly takes the book and chocolates out of your hand, tucking them into his arm.
“no. these are mine now.”
you can feel yourself break out into the biggest smile, as simply pulls his hat down, hiding his own twitch of a smile.
+ bonus
you two walk home as he flips through the book, looking at the detailed ship illustrations together
every now and then he’ll point to a drawing and rattle off trivia about it
he gets bashful about doing so much more talking than usual, but almost physically combusts when you reassure him it’s interesting and you enjoy listening to him speak about it
