So I had an idea for a stargoth fic but I'm conflicted on writing it, much less posting it, because it would be nsfw. I know this series is aimed at teens and most of the fans are minors, while I'm an adult (20s). I'm not sure if this is something people would be okay with. I'm making this post to sort of gauge people's reactions and whether or not this kind of fic would be okay. So yeah-

People don't have to be okay with your work in order for you to publish it. Fic writers write fic and fan artists draw art for their own sense of joy/emotion, not to produce content for other people. It's a happy bonus when people interact with the work positively.

My golden rule for posting nsfw works is that you must tag it and rate it appropriately and honestly so others will know whether or not it's something they can/would like to read. Additionally, if you're clear with your tags, you'll get people who are excited to read the things you're including in your work.

(Heads up, if something is just hinted at in your work and you tag it, you may get someone who's disappointed that you said that your work contains BDSM but all you've included was a pair of handcuffs on the dresser.)

The original rating of the media has nothing to do with fanfiction. While ao3 is the optimal place to put it, as long as it's under a "read more" it should be fine to put on Tumblr. We've also seen someone mention using #CBnsfw for nsfw Cinderella Boy content and personally agree it's a good idea.

You can also share your fic from Ao3 by clicking on "share" > "tumblr". It'll post a summary of the fic along with the rating and you can use that tag for reach. Here are some screenshots to show you what I mean.

I personally have a majority of notifications only show up in app/on site anyways so I'm fine! I hope mod Cloud wasn't bombarded with notifications. ^^'

You're okay though, there's no way to predict what polls will explode like that. Honestly I'm just glad so many people liked it. I didn't read every reblog and comment but some of the ones I have read were really interesting! It was nice to look at while I was away on a trip for about a week.

I would like to take a moment to echo this and point out there should be absolutely no spoiling of fast pass at all anywhere on the internet. For a long time, fast passers have been trying very hard to not reveal anything about the episodes that are not free to read, and this is because it's disrespectful to people who can't or don't pay for coins for fast pass.

Everyone should be able to have a spoiler-free experience in reading these comics whether or not they can pay money to.

Additionally, there are fast pass-specific communities in Discord such as the free-to-join Cinderella Boy (Webtoon) server, Punko's Patreon Toy Box server, and direct messages with friends. There should be no reason why anyone is posting fast pass stuff at all. I understand if one is eager to gab about something they're excited about, but one can just as easily save it to their drafts and wait for the fast pass episode to become a free episode ("be released from fast pass jail") before they post it.

At the very least, people who don't want to be spoiled can add variations of "cb spoilers" to their Tumblr built-in blacklist, and I would urge fast passers to tag their spoilers. At the end of the day, no one can control what someone else posts. All we can do is curate our online experiences to the best of our ability.

All that said, we absolutely do not encourage anyone to send hate to anyone who posts fast pass content. Sometimes fast passers just aren't aware that the Cinderella Boy fandom is averse to fast pass content being made public before the episode is released from fast pass. If one is tempted to reach out to someone, please do so with kindness and understanding. At the end of the day, we're all here because we love Cinderella Boy, and we want the fandom to be a kind, welcoming place.

Gently and with much love and kindness, Anon, no. That's not how Tumblr or fandom works. People do not and are not expected to take turns when making posts. It's their blog; they can do what they want with it. On the other hand, Tumblr has a built-in block feature (including giving you the ability to block certain users as well as blocking tags). If there is a user whose posts you want to see less of, you can block them (very easy, I promise), or if a mutual posts a bunch of stuff from a fandom you don't like, you can block that tag or whatever tag your mutual uses for those fandom posts.

Please use this opportunity to tailor your dashboard to how you want it to be by using the tools provided to you. Thank you for sending in your ask.
