#mod mink

Im a sophomore and i really want drum major next year, but i havent been in leadership and the two other applicants (juniors), my section leader and another, have. my sl and head dm think i have a chance but most people dont. the only thing im really holding onto is that my section leader is a better musician than me and our bd would wanna keep him on the field instead. what are your thoughts & do you have any advice for what i could do to show that i could handle the position and do good in it?

Hi I feel so down when I play the clarinet bc everyone's already good at it and I'm just literally starting and I almost cry whenever we march and like everyone knows that particular march and I'm just there walking, just makes me rly sad :( :(

Do non brass instruments actually find brass instruments spit that gross? If so I'm so sorry, I try to do the trash can if it's not to crowded.

Oh my god so our band performed tonight and it was so windy I could barely hold my flag straight and one of the other guard girls dropped her flag and it blew like halfway across the field and hit a tuba and fell directly into the center of the triangle the band was forming and I don't know whether to laugh or cry

Is it just me or does it seem like band staff (like in our band we have a woodwind instructor, brass instructor and an overall visual guy plus our director) can get away with more things that abnormal teacher in a school could?

For our show this year (it's called Zodiac and it's by some company that starts with an F if you want it I'll give you the link) and we have a stage as a prop and at first we all thought it was gunna be one step off the ground...ITS FOUR FEET OFF OF THE GROUND AND I AM ON THE FIFTY FOR IT IN A GIANT WOODWIND FEATURE (so all flutes, clarinets and saxophones) AND IM SO NERVOUS CAUSS I DONT WANNA SCREW UP IN FRONT OF EVERYONE LIKE THAT
