Grain cult is focused around Grian rediscovering how much the world has changed after being put asleep for hundreds of years to escape being caught in a cataclysmic event that killed most life.

Why's the "grain cult" part accidently Mumbo's fault?

Mumbo was the one to put Grian to sleep, not wanting to lose him. He left some information about the containment he put Grian in, though in their native language at the time (galactic)

Over the years "Grian" got mistranslated over the years to "Grain" and he became a myth that ppl worship in the area, a god with brightly coloured wings, rather than just your average avian.

Initially? It was gonna be a season 7 based BC that's what I'd watched at the time... But with Mod Slime's influence on the AU? We're prolly gonna find a way to rope the new Hermits somewhere into the plot, plus older season stuff knowing his taste :P
