I also hope people are respectful of Mik and understand that this is just a TV show, because after the last season and a lot of identity police and langauge police I have seen from blogs here, I don’t know how people will react if they (Mik) are not the exact representation they want. Same with the Latina queens, and with Black queens, everyone really.

Sending up a prayer that everyone, writer or reader or neither, is respectful, accommodating and enjoys season 13. I joined tumblr in Season 12 and it was constant discourse about the racialized queens from day one and made me so uncomfortable (I’m Mexican) it was like saying anything against a queen was being racist towards them and just walls of posts like that all the time and made me really scared to be branded a racist.

re: fic etiquette anon - as a rule, i only tag queens who have speaking roles in a fic on AO3 or in the chapter when submitted to AQ, and i feel like that could be a good rule of thumbs for people to work off of.

i know were currently discussing a completely different topic but i just have to let this out: i dont understand writers who tag queens or ships that are not in the fic? or those who tag queens when theyre not really in the fic per se but like they were just mentioned in passing or something similar to that. thankfully, i only see this on ao3 but idk i still find it a bit annoying and i think it just floods the tags :///

Yeah, I also feel really icky when that happens in fic? It almost feels like they were redeemed because of the relationship? But it still feels and sits really uncomfortably with me?
