Now. I think what you're thinking. "Oh no, Dirk's EVIL, HE'S THE VILLAIN OF THE MEAT EPILOGUE AND REMEMBER WHAT HAPPENED IN THE CANDY ONE?" Listen. I understand that there are a sad amount of Dirk Strider haters in the Homestuck community, and these epilogues will only fuel them. This is an UNIRONIC hate blog. The Homestuck epilogues, while possessing only a few slivers of redeemability, are bullshit. It's gross mischaracterization, is what I'm saying. Yes, the potential is there. It's always there. But taking flaws and exaggerating them and blowing them out of proportion until the character becomes nigh unrecognizable is a fucking travesty, and most of all? To Dirk, who feared that he could become Bro? Become like him, become even worse? Who feared the part of him he knew could push him over that edge? It's unacceptable to turn him into that fucking asshole who deserves no rights. Dirk Strider deserves BETTER, and the Dirk Strider in that epilogue is nothing but a fake, a monster wearing his skin.
Apologies for the rant! But it had to be said.
