Mod Doven here with an update on our current production status, schedule, and Backerkit launch!
The TDLR:
Our mod team has finalized all the project’s nitty-gritty work, including artist contracts and protections. This project remains for-profit, and unlike its previous iteration, we are making sure the team is paid fairly for all creative work.
New and improved card visuals: with the help of new contributors, some cards have been redesigned, and all front-facing card frames and back templates have been revised.
With the invaluable guidance of our tarot consultant, we’ve taken the deck’s Bloodborne theme even further and renamed both cards and suits to fit the deck’s motifs and aesthetic. The accompanying booklet, modeled on Bloodborne’s cryptic yet insightful text, will teach you how to seek the Paleblood - or any other question you might have for the cards (and the cosmos).

Which we’ll be previewing, along with the cards themselves, in the coming weeks.Our next step: while launch has been tentatively planned for May 2026, we’re still waiting to find out whether the tariff situation will impact production. In that case, you’ll be the first to know - and we’ll not launch until we’re sure we can provide the best deck and buying experience possible.

DESIGN AND MERCH In all, we altered or revised 14 cards, including introducing new characters or items to better fit the card’s meaning. Many of these previous illustrations will be kept and offered as merch upon launch. We love our new designs, but we want to honor all the hard work done over the course of this multi-year project, and don’t want those previous pieces languishing in the dark. As you’ll see in our coming previews, all of our graphic elements, including fonts and framing devices, have been changed or modified. We think you’ll find they do justice to the art of Bloodborne. In addition to the deck, we’re thrilled to offer a variety of merch contributed by multiple cards artists: from stickers to limited-tier merch like linocut prints!
PRODUCTION SCHEDULE We are determined to reasonably price this deck, while still being able to fairly compensate all artists. In light of tariffs, we put this decision on hold for a time and reached out for guidance. Several amazing people in our comments and DMs gave us invaluable recommendations, and we were put in touch with cunningAesthete and Tony from Cat's Tarot Team who is currently accompanying us through all remaining production, crowdfunding, and project management steps. We’ll be doing a separate post to introduce them soon!
While May remains our target, we are keeping a close eye on the tariff situation, and will update everyone alone the way.
A BIG THANK YOU
In the next few weeks, we plan to publicly announce all the artists involved in the project to ensure that everyone is getting the love they deserve for their exceptional work. We’ll reveal the final design for the card's frames and back, and post sneak peeks on our main socials with links to all contributing artists, so you can check out their work while you wait for the deck.
Despite the setbacks, everyone involved has truly stepped up to the plate and moved this project to the great place it’s in now. We cannot wait for you all to see just how beautiful this deck is going to be.

Are there any updates on the production of this? The description says coming May 2026, and it's now March 2026 without any words or published asks since the cancellation, so I'm starting to get sort of worried. I really look forward to this, even if there's more delays.
We are still working on this! Sorry for the radio silence, but frankly we've been a little overwhelmed, and I think social media accidentally fell to the wayside while we worked to put out the fires and take stock of everything we had to do to get this project on the right track.
I've been editing and editing a public post to try to explain everything, but in lieu of the longer more in depth post (which will be coming and I plan to explain everything as clearly and in depth as I can there) a quick explanation what's going on is that we don't really know exactly when we can print because current tariff legislation confusion here in the US.
We have gotten almost all the artwork done, several merch designs finalized, and have been securing our production means!
The biggest issue we've run into time and time again is unfortunately the Tariffs here in the US. Frankly, no one knows what the hell the tariffs actually are, whose responsible for them, or what the cost of them will be for the different merch and materials needed by our manufacturers here in the US.
So we're in limbo for a hot moment, trying to find the legal information we need to make sure that we don't run the entire crowd funding campaign only to realize we're going to be 3k in debt because a surprise tariff bill and can't actually fulfill the orders.
While we're being forced to sit and wait, we are however doing our best to make sure we're going to have the best products we can for you guys. We have completely redesigned the frames, the back of the cards, we've put together several sets of merch to offer on the side, we've got a great manufacturer who can do the cards and have experience working on tarot decks before. We've decided on several sticker designs, are putting together a digital PDF and potential zine for people who don't want the deck but want some of the artwork or just to support us.
So while I can't promise we'll be hard launching the crowd funding campaign come May like we've hoped to, we *will* begin to share some of the designs, our plans, and keep everyone updated on the situation with the tariffs as we learn anything about it as well.

We are currently waiting for the funds to be released, and then will begin ordering the different items over the next few weeks! Once we have the hard proof of each item, we'll update people on expected shipping prices, and times. And once I have all the items physically delivered, we'll send out the shipping survey!
