The fact of the matter is, every ship can be problematic if you try hard enough.

The fact of the matter is, we know there are antis out there who just want to avoid the ships they’re against. Who don’t harass, who don’t dox, who don’t suicide bait, who don’t spam gore to minors, who don’t dogpile people, who don’t falsely accuse people of being something they aren’t (abusers, pedophiles, etc), who don’t make fandom an “uwu elitist club,” all that jazz. However they are either a small minority, or a silent majority. People don’t tag us on posts where antis are staying in their lane and not being bags of feces. They tag us in posts where antis are doing exactly what I described. Are you suggesting we ignore the bad ones just because there’s a few good ones?

The fact of the matter is, there’s also survivors who ship these “problematic ships.” Survivors who use a “problematic” relationship dynamic in which THEY can control what happens, to process a traumatic situation where they had NO CONTROL to begin with. Where they had NO POWER to do or change ANYTHING. Having a “problematic ship” can be cathartic for some survivors. Is it everyone’s cup of tea? No. Nor should it be. If a survivor finds that a ship does more harm than good, then they’re well within their rights to blacklist that ship to hell. Different strokes for different folks. Not that you’d understand that.

The fact of the matter is, half your “problematic ships” aren’t actually problematic, they’re ships that get in the way of your other ships. People have forgotten what the term NOTP means, and that just because someone ships a character with someone else, doesn’t mean it “”“interferes”“” with yours. It’s fiction. They’re just lines on paper. You don’t have to harass someone just because they ship your NOTP.

The fact of the matter is, your anti rhetoric is the same as those religious nutjobs who thing being gay is sinful. Seriously. The post was on our old blog, but someone compiled a bunch of quotes (with sources!) that sounded like they should be from the religious right wingers, but in fact were from antis! How long will it be before all gay ships are bad unless the characters are dressed like it’s 1950s winter, and all they do is hold hands? How long?

You come in here, on your high ass horse, pretending you’re so righteous and you’ve never hurt anyone. You come in here, acting like we’re so evil and dirty and horrible while you are clean of sin. You come in here, VIOLATING YOUR OWN RULES:
