Oh hi guys. Sorry for the long inactivity. It's mod Absol here. I'm not sure what happened to the other mods but I just checked our asks and I'm so sorry to anyone who has been waiting for things since before we closed requests.
I hope everyone is doing okay though. Maybe I'll try to answer some of the questions here tomorrow (16th Feb 2023). We'll see. I feel bad about letting this blog die because I know it's something I myself desperately needed as a young new nonbinary and I want other fresh nonbinaries to have this safe space that I couldn't find.

a while ago i cut my hair short because i thought it would help me feel more fluid with my gender. sometimes i want it to be shorter but i also think that i want to grow it out. i love having short hair but i miss my long hair. thoughts or recommendations?
Iβm not sure how helpful what Iβm about to say will be to you, but, what I did was shave only half of my hair off to create an undercut look. I too wanted to try short hair but loved my long hair, so a compromise of only having a side of my hair short was amazing for me. It did really help with my dysphoria and it stands to be one of the best decisions I have ever made. Do I look like a lost emo child? Probably, but it is so worth it to remain happy with a fluid and fluctuating gender.
There are a lot more options out there, though. Iβm not sure how short you currently have your hair but perhaps try trimming one side shorter and letting the other grow out? I love the whole half and half look but it doesnβt even have to be by that much.
All in all just experiment and see what feels right! The good thing about hair is that it grows back eventually so if you donβt like the experiment then you can leave it to grow out again.
