I think that's the main difference. Airplane Bro, newly SQQ is going to do the exact same thing SY did and baby the protagonist as much as possible. Like l actually think he'd be a little more distant but I don't think that would stop LBH from zeroing in on the positive affection like a love seeking missile.
So SQQ and LBH wind up together, likely with less running away too because Airplane's fear response is freeze/fawn instead of flight. (Not a great start to a relationship but Airplane loves being spoiled and LBH loves to spoil so they'll be ok.)
Meanwhile Cucumber Bro figured out who he was and decided to be the best fucking spy in the world and also to make himself integral to the sect so that if he was ever discovered removing him from his position would be impossible. Eventually post story LBH and MBJ decide to experiment because their husbands are clearly enamored with 1) each other, they fight all the time, and 2) the other demon lord and they all end up in a polycule.
