you can always tell when brendon has finally stopped to take his lunch break, because that’s always when he sends a text checking in on your day.
nothing invasive, just wanting to know how you’re doing.
it’s unusual that his is the first message in the thread. usually you send him texts throughout the morning, impulsive thoughts that you want to share with him even if he’s on DND.
you read his message, and it takes a minute for you to buffer before you type a response. because the day wasn’t bad, you were fine, but you felt… off? less than ideal.
you tell him. then:
it’s stupid. no big deal!!
and you watch as the typing bubbles appear then disappear. then, a graphic that shows he has sent an amount of money with one more zero than you’d anticipate.
Go to the store you like. Have lunch delivered.
