What: Mob!Verse Where: The British Library, Law floor. When: The start of September
It seemed that Benjy Fenwick didn’t get what he wanted all the time. He’d been damn confident that Emmeline would give him her number by the end of the interval, and yet....and yet, she’d wanted to leave it up to fate. He wasn’t sure he believed in fate, instead he believed in bloody hard work. And it had been hard work - he had no last name to go off, no specifics on which university she attended, nor which law firm she was involved with. That meant finding her in the hustle and bustle of London was incredibly slim - especially considering Benjy didn’t spend a great deal of time in the city itself. It was rare he had time to himself, and to waste that time trying to find a girl he might never find again? Well that was just foolish.
And yet here he found himself. With no specifics to go off, Benjy had been hovering around some places that he might find her. He’d been back to the bookstore that they’d first met a few times to no avail, but today he’d asked Sirius to accompany him to the British Library. It was worth a shot, right? Now the pair were wandering the bookshelves in the law section, after some half-arsed lie about researching a way to go legal, Sirius hovering not too far behind Benjy as per usual.
A book about recent developments in property law caught his eye because of the binding on the spine and he picked it up to look at it curiously when he heard footsteps behind him. Turning to see if it was Sirius asking if they could leave yet, Benjy wasn’t expecting it to actually be Emmeline. “So...it seems that fate is indeed on our side,” he quipped. “It’s good to see you again Emmeline.”
