Like if you accidentally drop the eggs you needed to use and there's no more, or when you cut your hair really short and love it, but everyone around you has long hair that looks fabulous and you feel really naked and insignificant when you're with them and realise your hair is fucking boring and there's nothing you can do with it short of dying it, cutting it shorter, shaving it off or giving in and trying to grow it out. And while they offer momentary relief, you'll always have that deep ache of regret that you didn't grow your hair out super long so you could do shit with it and dying it would actually be noticeable because there is more than an inch of hair on your head.
