Eurodance is really funny. Sure, the KLF that I used as an example of the genre aren’t really a part of style, but they did follow the let’s-shoot-shit approach many producers in the brand used for their work. I mean, take a listen to the tune on the link. The whole thing is gut-bustingly ridiculous, but there’s no tongue-in-cheek, there is this yes-we’re-serious-have-a-problem vibe that makes the whole thing even more hilarious. Mind you, the tune is not an Eurodance version of The Room – there are many other candidates for such a title –, yet there’s something refreshing about Mo-Do not giving a damn about sounding cool, he just wishes for us to dance, Of course, the approach had many shortcomings later on for him and his peers.
