Oh man, I never thought about the heatstroke risk for tourists in hot places, that must happen all the time!

yeah! it’s a definite issue here. it gets to ~110F (sometimes higher) in the dead of summer, and there’s maybe 15% humidity and most people aren’t used to that. so people come here and think “well let’s go walk the strip!” and not realize that the resort properties are massive, sometimes five city blocks long, and people overextend themselves because they’ve only seen like three things since they left their hotel even though they’ve been out walking for six hours. and then people drink alcohol on top of all that, because they’re on vacation and it’s legal on the Strip to have an open container and there’s that novelty.Â
if all this makes it sound like Vegas sucks, here’s the secret; the Strip absolutely sucks, but there’s a ton of way cooler shit to do so everyone come visit me and I’ll take you to cool places I promise.
