WPNZ and Puzzles. Getting my thoughts together. So our little Toomp, who originally seemed like a replacement for Leggy when first introduced. Puzzles being so dead set on gaining his past friendships that he dismissed the ones he had. Thinking. (I jump around a lot in this post)

WPNZ in the car going on about how he’s started to move on, originally he seemed like a lost cause. Toomp. WPNZ and Toomp. Someone who has given him exactly what he needed, a family, someone to protect. WPNZ, who tried to fix it with his family. He pushed them too far, he hurt them and they fought back, left him while he was broken, which was completely deserved. But now, instead of letting that anger bubble in him, he’s letting go, getting better. He has Toomp and he cares so much about the little bugger. Even when he was pissed, when the death cube barged in, instead of jumping straight into combat and pushing Toomp to his limit, he realized Toomp was tired. Despite his anger, he left with Toomp. He’s getting better.

Mr. Puzzles on the other hand. Our dear TV.

Is so stupid sometimes it’s going to kill me.

Once he’s set on something, nothing could convince him otherwise. In the gas station scene, I find it particularly interesting.

Nothing is going wrong here, no one is getting on his nerves, but they stopped. They stopped to do something and that is delaying them from what they need to do. A few moments ago he was fine, joking around.

But now they’re doing an errand that’s preventing them from getting to his dear friend sooner. I get that upset overwhelming feeling, so it’s just so interesting to get to see. The huffing and pacing, really good stuff. And because of that obsession with his plan, he loses every chance he was given, all at once.

Enough of that tangent though. Puzzles and Leggy. His first friend, the one who made him realize that’s what he wanted. That company. A lovely thing. Though quickly after those realizations, he was beaten and cast aside. Losing his Leggy. Then he meets Toomp and WPNZ. And even though the time they are together is relatively short, they do so much with it.

Action scenes, heartfelt mushy conversations, the likes.

And WPNZ actually cares about him. He relates to him. He gets how he’s feeling, but if he could just let go.

Puzzles is too set on what he thinks is best though. It’s what’s driving him forward, visions of a perfect friendship with Meggy after everything is sorted out, after he proves he’s good somehow. He just needs to put on a show. Because that’s the only thing that could possibly work, a flawless plan. What happens to WPNZ and Toomp after? It’s not a thought that ever comes to mind. He gets so dead set on things.

With all the theories I’ve seen and the discussions I’ve had with friends. A lot of us thought at first WPNZ would be so clung onto the past. What Karen and the kids did to him. Unable to recognize his one mistakes, but Toomp. Our little blob really got to him. Through that, he started seeing what he had done wrong, and he wants to stop that cycle. He catches himself before he hurts Toomp the same way he did with the kids. Stepping in to do something instead of forcing Toomp to do it, stopping to feed him, fleeing a fight when Toomps too tired. I’m really proud of WPNZ. On the other hand, Puzzles hadn’t learned. So blindsighted by his plan that he missed how much he really cared.

Which it’s…progress? He can’t ignore how much he cared for them now. What have you done Puzzles? He wants to fix things, but based on his plans for fixing things prior… I wish he had someone to help him honestly, but no one should have to. Because he hurt them. He was given a second chance by Meggy, and he shattered that chance. Sure now he knows he messed up, but he’s already broken all his relationships. Egh he makes me sick.

WPNZ. What Puzzles could have had. Actually learning to heal, move on. And Mr. Puzzles. WPNZ could’ve ended up like him. Could’ve overworked and used Toomp just as he did before, ruined things once again.

I’m just thinking about parallels kinda. WPNZ going from using his family as a tool, to having a small friend that he cares deeply for, that represents what he wants and leads him to realize his mistakes and move on from the past. Puzzles going from having a small friend that represents what he wants, to having a group that he just planned on using like tools to get back to the past, ignoring his new friendships. Maybe too much of a stretch? I never really make long posts like these with theories

How old do you think Toomp is. Change from the original topic of this post. Toomp didn’t think of going in his liquid form right away after Puzzles trapped him. It should’ve been easy, he can reform himself in a snap, and we see him do this to leave eventually, why not right away? I think that speaks to his emotional control. Toomp was overwhelmed with anger maybe, he couldn’t think properly until he threw enough of a fit in there to wear himself out and calm down, rationalize an escape method. How old is Toomp. You think it could be possible that the reason he was in prison is because he is still young and has issues controlling himself? Doing impulsive things and such. With so much power and no one to help him funnel it into something, teach him right. The Toomp. He wore himself out before WPNZ did. He had been doing a lot of transforming and shifting though, and WPNZ may be better at pushing himself past his limits, with his job and view of himself. Toomp is also plenty intelligent, with how he fixed WPNZ and deduced that Puzzles was up to something. maybe his lifestyle forced him to grow up faster though, like WPNZ. You could still argue for a younger Toomp. How old is Toomp. What if Toomp was still young, troubled teen? Really troubled. (Younger? Idk) Just. Think it would be interesting. WPNZ taking in a delinquent kid, at least trying to keep him out of trouble. Honestly wouldn’t be surprised if there was a kid in a maximum security cell in the SMG4 universe. Genuinely though does anyone know? Is he a full grown Toomp or what.
