About Me
I am a Creative Writing major with a focus in poetry and a TESL (Teaching English as a Secondary Language) minor at the University of Illinois at Urbana Champaign. Some of my inspirations range from Phyllis Wheatley, Hart Crane, Gwendolyn Brooks, Langston Hughes, and Emily Dickinson. I find my writing to focus on feminism, queerness, violence, and the African Diaspora. Feel free to check out of my writing currently published on my WritersCafe under my guise of Ava Laveau.
