Ali: OH MY GOD! LITTLE CUTE MADOKA! LOOK AT HER! LOOK AT THIS SWEET BABY!

Gosh... they grow so fast, don’t they? It’s like no time passes. One day you hold them in your arms and the next day they become a god and you don’t even remember them.

Ali: Just kill me. Just let me die now. I have no heart left to feel, so what is the point of my existence anymore. And you know what? First time around I totally didn’t get this conversation, I thought Madoka was actually going to take back Sayaka’s wish. But no, she was actually going to let Sayaka stay dead. And that hurts so much more. Sure I want Kyosuke to be healthy and happy, but I won’t lie, I care much more about Sayaka. 

But I guess not everybody can get a happy ending... Actually, most of them didn’t. Only Kyoko and Mami got some kind of happy ending. Sayaka died, Madoka got erased, Homura will miss her forever. Only people from main cast for which life got somehow better are Kyoko and Mami.

Ali: The whole sequence of events that happens from this point almost to the very end is the definition of bittersweet. I kept crying and crying and crying, but at the same time, I could not help having a wide smile on my face. Even though half of my brain was heavily occupied trying to figure out what exactly was happening, just watching it, hearing the music, seeing those scenes, was making me have tons of feelings. And it was pain and suffering again, but it wasn’t the same kind like before anymore. There was something good about it, something pure and wholesome. And now when I think about it, it sounds crazy to describe “pain” with a word “wholesome”, but this is the best explanation I can give. 

It just didn’t feel anymore like pain coming from innocent girls trapped in awful circumnstances, where every decision is bad and every step leads you to your doom. It was not pointless pain anymore. It got direction, it was going somewhere, had some purpose of changing things, making them at least a little bit better, even if the sacrifice was enormous. Still, daggers going through my heart, but now laced with painkiller called hope. 

Ali: I never truly decided whether this happens in Madoka’s head, or in some another dimension, or in afterlife or what, but you know what? It doesn’t really matter at the end of the day.
