𝐒𝐓𝐀𝐓𝐔𝐒  :  open 

     “  A  GALLEON  SAYS  MCTAVISH  IS  ABOUT  TO  DROP  THE  QUAFFLE.  ”  marlene  declared  to  no  one  in  particular.  a  wicked  grin  curved  her  lips  as  she  draped  herself  across  the  bar  ,  moving  to  adjust  the  radio  knobs  to  get  a  clearer  sound  as  if  tuning  the  thing  would  manifest  a  mistake  by  puddlemere’s  chaser.  the  barkeep  began  to  protest  ,  grumbling  about  etiquette  and  marlene’s  '  poor  taste  in  quidditch  teams  '  ...  to  which  she  could  only  respond  with  ,  “  don’t  be  a  poor  sport  just  because  your  team  is  absolute  shite  this  year  —  ”

           he thought he’d found a nice quiet spot to sit and read, take some notes. he had himself a nice little travel thermos filled with tea, and he was hunched over about three textbooks, and four different stacks of parchement paper-- one with written notes, one with what looked like maths equations, and one that was a poor attempt at mapping out constellations. honestly, at this point he wasn’t even sure if this was for school or fun anymore, but he was having a fine time regardless.

     however, when he felt another presence crop up on him, he immediately closed the book he was reading, looking up in shock. maybe this wasn’t a good spot, then, maybe it was someone else’s spot--

          “i’m-- i’m sorry! i can get out of here, if you’d like--”

     GREEN  EYES  BEHIND  ROUND  GLASSES  EXAMINED  THE  WATCH  —  the  seller  had  said  nothing  but  vague  ramblings  about  the  last  owner  breaking  out  in  a  rash.  if  one  thing  was  certain  ,  anastasia  was  not  going  to  put  it  on.  still  the  gears  and  spell  work  were  intriguing  and  she  had  been  working  at  reverse  engineering  the  object  for  the  better  part  of  an  hour.   

     the  woman  was  so  distracted  ,  she  barely  heard  the  door  ring  out  ,  announcing  a  customer.  excluding  her  ,  the  antiques  store  was  empty  of  people  and  full  of  oddities.  a  growing  portion  was  thanks  to  anastasia’s  own  work.  

Evan had been out shopping most of the day to get supplies for a soiree he was planning but he’d decided to take a break and sit down to have lunch. The Leaky Cauldron was not his first choice of a place to eat, but he had limited time and hadn’t been able to book anywhere more exclusive. He was sitting at the bar, waiting for a table to become available and sipping at the hogwash the bartender called whiskey, when he noticed the other. “If you’re looking for a place to have a satisfying drink, I’d recommend leaving immediately.” His smile was charming, as always, his manner open and inviting.

Rabastan stared at his nails black ink staining some of them and cursed under his breath as he tried to pick it out wanting nothing more than to be seen as immaculate. He knew he was in people’s way and he didn’t honestly care that he was. Once he felt the presence of someone in front of him, he raised a brow and looked up. “You’ve got ample room to go around me, or if that’s not the case -- how can I help you?” his last question dripped with false optimism. 

Drip. Drip. Drip. She got far too much ice cream to eat before it melted, but Alecto didn’t care -- she instead watched it drip down the cone, down her hand, and onto the pavement below where she sat. The day was sunny, if a bit chilly, but she sat outside anyway, coat wrapped loosely around her and eyes glued to those passing by when she wasn’t watching her ice cream melt. She slowly licked at the sweet, the odd concoction of pistachio and blueberry mixing on her tongue as someone caught her eye, their own ice cream in hand. Alecto turned her gaze to look at them unashamedly, head tilting to the side.

Sybill had shut up shop despite it being early evening, normally quite a lucrative time for her. She’d thought that she’d seen a shadow lurking around the shop and it had disquieted her enough to want to throw them off the scent. Whoever they were. She was perched on her usual stool in the White Wyvern, the bartender refilling her glass without her ever having to ask - she was a fixture in here most nights. She glanced around the pub, just because she’d closed her shop didn’t mean she couldn’t still make some money. Finally her gaze fell on a promising looking mark and she made her way over. “There’s something about you...” Sybill paused for dramatic effect, eyes fixed on the other’s face. “It seems like destiny has a plan for you. I can help you find out what your future holds.”
