John rolled his eyes, indicating his disagreement with Brianâs assessment of his own clothing. But he declined to comment further on that. âMight be a little on the nose with the stars and stuff. But honestly, not entirely off-base.â The students at Hogwarts would probably enjoy it at any rate. But John knew itâd be a long shot to get Brian to change his outfit preferences.
His eyebrows hiked up an inch. âYouâre looking at me right now, arenât you?â As Brian took a covert look around, John laughed. And then laughed harder whn confronted with Brianâs accusation. âI really havenât been here that long, but you know Iâm more than capable of finding someone, regardless of the circumstances.â Still, it was Johnâs turn to shift in his seat and at least peak at the rest of the bar. âYâknow whatâd be more interesting? If you snuck me into Hogwarts so I could see where you live. I always wanted to know what the professorsâ quarters were like.â
âI like the stars! Everyoneâs got to have something, donât they?â He didnât think it was that bad of an idea. Even if it was something like cuff-links. Could be really nice. Much better with some gold embroidery-- but heâs not some fashion star like John apparently is. What would he know?
âIâm looking at you because itâs polite to look at the person youâre having a conversation with,â he said simply, taking a drink from his glass. But then he just laughed at the suggestion. No way. âIâm sure I could be fired if I let you in, John. I donât trust you to not go mucking something up really bad. Besides, itâs just like a little room. Well, bigger than a little room. Not quite a flat, but very cozy. Better than the dorms, anyways.â
