Halsin's words are met with a distinctive click of tongue. "Of course I did. It feels as though they are trying to bore holes in our heads with their gaze." Her golden eyes are sharp and watchful, a hand resting on her hip near her blade, ready to wield it at a moment's notice.
"I tire of shapeshifters," Lae'zel bitterly confesses, gaze ever scanning, as if afraid any one person around them might pull a weapon out at any moment. "And I feel overly exposed in this area. Too many people and too many unknowns." Lae'zel is a strong and resilient fighter, but even she needs to rest. It is hard to rest when the hairs on the back of her neck are almost constantly standing up. At the sound of laughter her gaze flickers to Astarion who is chatting with and chuckling with one of the local merchants. "At least Astarion is enjoying himself." Despite her inability to relax herself it is nice to see Astarion seem less guarded. They all have their troubled pasts but he especially has been through a lot of pain. A quiet chuckle slips past her own lips as she adds, "perhaps it is you who is the center of attention. There is a flock of women staring at you as we speak."
